NaNoWriMo

November is National Novel Writing Month. The idea is that you write a long work of fiction over the period of a month. The goal is 50,000 words (or about 1,667 words every day) by the end of the month.

I haven't officially committed to NaNoWriMo but I am doing a few things on my own in the spirit of the project. First, I plan to blog every day about something. Second, I wanted to work on my own piece of fiction so I decided it would be cool to tell a story through a blog (not this one). I'm already not sure if that's going to work or not so I might just have to turn back to traditional format. Yep, I'm behind already!

Since I'm taking that class, I'm hoping all of this works well together.

If anyone else is doing NaNoWriMo and wants to chat, drop me a note. Writing is a major interest for me and it's been a blast bouncing ideas off various people lately.

Don't you wish you had a job like mine? All you have to do is think up a certain number of words! Plus, you can repeat words! And they don't even have to be true! -Dave Barry
