Wk 1: Creative Writing 101
Last Tuesday I began an online writing workshop. Creative Writing 101 offered by WritingClasses.com. I took an online copy editing course last Fall and while it was great from a technical standpoint, it didn't inspired me at all to write.
Since I'm posting so late, I've already completed week #1. Our lecture was an introduction to Creative Writing and focused on the three key components: OIL (observation, imagination, language). Our assignment was interesting as well - 500 words based on "The Window". I got great feedback from the professor so that boosted my confidence a lot.
So far, this class is looking great and I'm really enjoying the experience. I'll be blogging more about it on a regular basis over the next few weeks.
