Happy 4th of July

We don't have huge plans. Mike's off running the Great Raleigh Road Race. Five miles running around downtown Raleigh. No thanks! Weather conditions are much better than Race for the Cure and he should be finishing up shortly.

I opted to stay home and do some writing while it was cool and quiet. We may go for a hike/picnic later depending on his legs after all that running.

I hope everyone has a fun and safe 4th of July. Be careful with those fireworks! I just read a horrible story about a mom in Michigan that died in front of her fiance and 8-yr-old son trying to set off a commercial-grade something. It's so not worth it - take it easy out there!
