Monthly (kinda) NYR Update
So here goes!
The never-ending quest for hotness: I've lost a few pounds (about 6), not quite to goal yet. And I'm still exercising regularly and trying to keep tabs on my eating. Sometimes I do better than others but overall, I'm still making progress.
Run a 5k without stopping: I just started running again May 1st and while my goal at the time was Race for the Cure (this coming Saturday), the weather is freaking me out. I'm not at all confident about my ability to run outside in this heat/humidity. But I'm definitely on track to do this by the end of the year!
Blog more often: I was off to a good start, faltered, and now I'm getting back on track.
Brush up on my French: Nada on this one so far.
Read at least one book each month: Total fail on this one. I have a few books I want to read, I just never seem to actually READ them.
Finally learn how to play the guitar: I've looked into lessons several times. I'm intimidated by group settings but also afraid of getting into a bad private setting. Why do all the instructors look like psycho killers? I did, however, conquer the "easy" level on Guitar Hero III in just a few hours. :)
So there's the update. I'm thinking the "French" one was silly and I'll probably let myself off the hook on that. A passing craze, perhaps. It would really be more of a "learn French" than "brush up on French" considering I never really learned it the first time around.
Other than the "book a month", I'm not completely failing on any of the others. There were a few resolutions I kept private and some of those are going better than others.
Keep on keepin' on, I guess.
